Greening Hair Bleach

Japanese Scientists are developing what is being called as the very first green hair bleaching product that is set to revolutionize the way people get their blond hair. Hair bleaching damages hair due to the inherent ability of hydrogen peroxide to eat away hair if it is left on too long. It is also quite irritating to the skin and scalp, preventing people with hyper-sensitive hair from using such products. The product is based from an enzyme produced by of all things, a fungus that is more commonly known as “white rot”, that produces enzymes that can also be used for environmental cleanup of soil, contaminated with waste. The enzyme eats away the melanin, the natural pigment that gives hair and the skin color. The revolutionary hair bleach not only eats away melanin, it has no side effect but a beneficial effect, fighting free-radicals or chemicals that hastens the death of cells and is being blamed for most of the signs of age in people and other living organisms.
