shapoos2Research is a commitment and having the ability to play with some of the most expensive equipment more akin to advanced cancer research facilities that entails billions of dollars of equipment. Asides from the huge investment in people and equipment, these companies also spend millions of dollars in advertising, packaging and endorsement costs just to sell a few dollar’s worth bottle of shampoo. One of their biggest gamble, all their hard work isn’t a guarantee of success, for even with billions of dollars in developing a health care system, the public’s own preferences may not even take it in as “the product” to chose and use for their hair. It is more a commitment of will than research for some of the best discoveries have been made by the most mundane research on products people say nobody would buy.
Asides from all the investment, the industry buys up thousands of dollar’s worth of human hair, tissue and other products so they can test their products on them, as well as a team of product testers (sometimes themselves), to test the effectiveness of their products they intend to present to management as the next big thing in shampoo’s for your hair. To sum it all up, billions of dollars in equipment, people, research man hours, marketing and advertising, logistics and so much more, just to get you to buy a few dollar’s worth of shampoo, now you take an educated guess at the math!
