Hats and hair loss

Hats, caps and other head gears are associated with hair loss. Yes, they may be linked together but it does not mean that one causes the other. The natural flow or form of your hair may be affected but that is just about it. Even head bands can cause this. 

The only way these head accessories can be related to damage on your scalp is when you don’t clean your scalp after wearing them. They help in the accumulation of dirt in your scalp because wearing them causes your scalp to perspire more and become sticky and oily. This may hinder the natural growth of your hair. So after wearing them, make sure you clean your scalp thoroughly.

Hats and caps are associated with baldness because people who tend to wear them more often have actual problems of hair loss and they use these accessories to cover or hide their hair loss.
