Have you had your hair vitamins today?
I’m sure you’ve heard it before in shampoo commercials: the hair needs important vitamins too. We can try to get them from over the counter products or we can try to eat our way to glossy and healthy hair.
Remember, the hair is almost 100% proteins. This of course means that having enough protein in our body is essential in keeping the hair healthy. But that doesn’t mean you should go carnivorous. Like the skin, the hair greatly benefits from ample amounts of fruits and vegetables in our body. The natural vitamins and minerals found in them work to keep the entire body at its best.
It might also be a good idea to go for specific items on the menu like salmon (a good source of protein), cocoa (for zinc and other minerals), and carrots (for vitamins like Biotin).
